In case of arrival in Almaty transfer to Bishkek 250 km. | Hotel | | 2-3 | Trekking in the National Nature Park Ala-Archa (42 km). Acclimatization radial hikes (1800m-2500 m) | Mountain hut or tent | | 4 | Transfer to Son-Kul Lake which is located at the altitude of 3016m and surrounded by mountains. There are no villages, only in summer time many herdsmen come up with families bringing the livestock up and stay there for summer time in yurts (Kyrgyz traditional dwelling). | Yurt Inn | | 5 | Radial hike to one of the neighbouring ranges. Visit local nomads, taste traditional food and drinks. | Yurt Inn or Tent Camp | | 6 | Transfer to Tash-Rabat (260 km), ancient caravanserai of XI century on the Great Silk Road. | Yurt Inn | | 7 | Hike up to Tash-Rabat pass. Dramatic view of salt-marsh valley and lifeless Chatyr-Kul Lake opens from the pass. Chatyr-Kul Lake is located at the altitude of 3530m. Caravans from Kashgar to Tien-Shan went along this way in ancient times. | Yurt Inn | | 8 | Transfer to Torugart border post (110 km). Border formalities. Meet with Chinese agency representative. Transfer further to Kashgar (150 km). | Hotel | | 9 | Kashgar was one of the main settlement on the Great Silk Road. Craftsmen and tradesmen live here. During the first half-day sightseeing and visit to the market. After lunch transfer to Kara-Kul Lake (200 km) at the altitude of 3552m near two mountain giants: Mustag-Ata 7546m and Kongur 7719m. | Tent Camp | | 10-13 | Four days trek to Karakul - Kuqikaqi - Subach - Mustag-Ata base camp. | Tent Camp | | 14 | Ascent of Mustag-Ata slope to the altitude of 5000 - 5500m. Return to the base camp. | Tent Camp | | 15 | Transfer Mustag-Ata - Kashgar. | Hotel | | 16 | Transfer Kashgar - Torugart. Border formalities. Meet with ITMC representative. Transfer further to Naryn (200 km). | Yurt Inn | | 17 | Transfer to Issyk-Kul Lake. Rest by the Lake. | Hotel or Guest House | | 18 | Transfer to Boom gorge. Conditions and notes:
1) Grade of this trek is challenging, on rugged terrain and at the altitudes of 4000m-5000m. We advise it for trained people with good experience of trekking in high mountains.
2) Each tourist must have sleeping bag, sleeping pad, warm clothes, raincoats, trekking boots, trekking sticks, sunglasses.
3) All tourists must have medical insurance. Service included:
