Service

Permits to border areas (zones). If you plan mountaineering expeditions to Khan-Tengri, Pobeda or Lenin Peak, Kokshaal-Too Range or trekking in those areas, it is required to obtain special border permi. Please note, paper work takes 4-6 weeks, so be sure to submit the request and information listed below in advance.

The following passport data is required:
- dates of permit
- full name
- date of birth
- citizenship
- passport number
- date of issue
- date of expire
- place where the permit will be taken (Bishkek, Karakol, Naryn)

Our Mountain guides are members of Kyrgyz Association of Mountain Guides and Mountain Rescuers.

Radio stations for connection throughout Kyrgyzstan on the frequency range 5120 KHz and for VHF connection (portable)

ITMC works in close cooperation with Tien-Shan RTM Rescue Company and has agreement to provide rescue work for company's tourists in case of emergency

Terms of booking

Helicopter

If the programme includes helicopter flights, the following terms are applied:

- dates are fixed only for days of good weather conditions and only for groups;
- a team of minimum 10 people is considered as a group;
- every passenger is allowed to take 30 kg free of charge onboard, and overweight is subject to charge.

In all cases a company that provides helicopter services and is responsible for conducting of tour programme has right to board helicopter with extra passengers in accordance with helicopter technical characteristics.

For smaller groups helicopter timetable has only preliminary dates, and depends on other planned flights or other smaller groups and individuals that wish to join a particular date to make up the group at least of 10 persons. In this case group which consists of less than 10 people is a point for postpone of flight or even its cancellation.

If you are not flexible with the dates for helicopter flight and need a particular date to be confirmed, then you may pay whole helicopter flight and it will be reserved for you on chosen date only. Solution to any untypical situation is the mutual agreement.

Porters
Each porter for the trek takes 15 kg of commercial luggage. Every extra kg of weight should be paid as extra. Commercial luggage does not include porter's personal outfit. In case if client does not wish to order porter service, it means that all of client's ordered food and camping outfit (tents, carry mats, kitchen utensils, gas cylinders, etc.) should be carried by client during the whole program. The weight of camping outfit is approximately 5-7 kg per person and the weight of food is on average 2-2,5 kg per person per day. The outfit and food are parts of commercial luggage, therefore plan your porters in advance please.

Formalities
All necessary information for arranging formalities (visa support, border permit etc.) should be sent at least 6 weeks prior to arrival. Not providing ITMC with the needed information on time, might result in delay or all formalities cancellation. If you obtained new passport after submitting us your passport data, inform us as soon as possible about it, so we can apply for new papers for you. Extra paper work with formalities is subject to extra charge.

Payment
To guaranty all bookings full payment for agreed program should be done at least 4 weeks prior the beginning of tour programme. Non-payment on time might result in full cancellation. All costs are given in EUR. We accept payment also in USD and local currency Kyrgyz SOM according to the exchange rate of the date of Invoice.

We accept the following payment:
- Bank transfer. Please note that all service fees charged by banks or other financial institutions for processing must be paid by the Sender. Amount stated in our Invoices does not include Bank charges.
- In cash on the day of arrival in Kyrgyzstan. This method of payment has to be confirmed with TMC in advance.

Cancellations and charges
- There is no fee for change or cancellation if it made more than 30 days prior the arrival;
- There is 10 % charge of ordered services for changes or cancellations when made less than 30 days but more than 7 days prior the arrival;
- There is 50 % charge of ordered services for cancellations when made less than 7 days but more than 24 hours prior the arrival
- There is 100 % charge for cancellations when made less than 24 hours prior the arrival.

Claims and Adjustments
Claims for refund or adjustment must be made within 30 days after the first service has been provided, no later. If the client does not contact our office during the time of problem, we reserve the right to reject his / her claim. All claims must be in English or Russian in written form with clear and complete explanation. All claims will be considered within one month maximum upon receiving.
